Phases of Domestic Violence

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." -Isaiah 41:10

My name is Camille. I'm a single, 25-year-old, African-American woman with no children, a Master's degree, in a notable Sorority, with a career in the media industry. My parent's lived the "American Dream."  Both earned their Bachelor degrees from a prestigious university, obtained prominent careers, got married, and had my brother and I.  I had everything I could ask for including a big family on both sides of my parents. Many would say that I had the perfect life, and many are surprised when I tell them that I am a victim of Domestic Violence.

The purpose of this site is to Empathize with,Educate, and Empower young victims of Intimate Partner violence...

A little over a year has passed since I was brutally attacked by the man I thought I was going to marry.  I created this website because I was looking for an outlet to vent.  There were so many opportunities open for me to share my story with others; however, I chose to do it this way.  Why?  It seems to be overlooked that people, ages 18-29 are also affected by the cycle of violence.  I found it difficult to find a site where others who carry similar backgrounds as I are able to share stories of their Domestic violence experiences.

This site is primarily designed for, but not limited to us.  The fact of the matter is, we are also victims of this heinous crime and we should be able to talk about it, in confidence, amongst each other.  Now's your chance luv...Let it out...

I pray that this page has an impact on your life.
